Donating Items

CRAFT needs all sorts of reusable, saleable items. . .
. . . and collects them for free

FURNITURE

All sorts of home and office furniture: armchairs, beds, bookcases, chairs, cots, cupboards, desks, mattresses, shelves, sofas, tables, TV stands, wardrobes etc.

What’s NOT acceptable?

Broken, badly damaged or significantly marked furniture.
Stained mattresses.
Badly torn or significantly worn fabric e.g. on a sofa.
Foam filled furniture WITHOUT a fire label (i.e. foam filled items WITH a fire label ARE acceptable)

 

ELECTRICAL ITEMS

All sorts of WORKING electrical items: cookers, DVD players, fridges, freezers, kettles, lamps, music systems, toasters, tumble driers, TVs, VCRs, washing machines, etc.

What’s NOT acceptable?

Electrical items that need repairing or significant cleaning
Old style TVs with wood effect surrounds

COMPUTERS AND IT EQUIPMENT

All sorts of WORKING hardware: base units, monitors 17” and above, keyboards, mice, speakers, scanners, parts, unused consumables etc

What’s NOT acceptable?

Printers
Monitors less that 17”
Computers without USB ports

BIKES

All types of bikes, including mountain bikes, road bikes, adult bikes and child’s bikes.

What’s NOT acceptable?

Bikes in a very poor state, rusted solid or badly damaged.

BOOKS

All sorts of books: fiction, non-fiction, text books, modern, antiquarian, adult, children etc

What’s NOT acceptable?

Damaged, torn, falling apart or scribbled in books.
Books of a pornographic or unsuitable nature.

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

All sorts of household items: kitchenware, curtains, cushions, toys, games, pushchairs, rugs etc.

What’s NOT acceptable?

Broken, chipped, cracked, torn or dirty items.
Cassette tapes or home recorded videos

CLOTHES

Clean clothes and clean damaged textiles can be collected for reprocessing. If they’re in good condition please consider giving them to a charity shop in town instead.
