Terms & Conditions
Terms and conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all customers of CRAFT and users of the website.
Description of the Goods
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. We reserve the right to refuse offers to purchase where product information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.
Availability
The supply of goods is subject to availability and it may not always be possible for us to inform you at the time you contact us whether the goods you want are still available for purchase. We will contact you as soon as possible to keep you informed. If you purchase an item and before taking possession or it being delivered it becomes unavailable (e.g. for reasons of damage, theft or safety concerns) you will be contacted and a carefully selected alternative will be offered or a refund given.
Delivery
If a non-furniture item is purchased and the purchaser is outside our usual delivery area, the items will be delivered by Royal Mail except for bulky, heavy or valuable items, which may be sent by courier delivery. Charges for these deliveries will be at cost. Furniture can NOT be delivered except by our own vans in our usual collection/delivery area; see the Collections and Delivery page for details of these services.
Returns
We offer a 7 day no quibbles returns policy which begins from the date you received the goods. All unwanted goods should be returned in a re-saleable condition. This does not affect your statutory rights. For more information on your statutory rights please visit: http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/.
If an item is faulty or not as described, when you send your item back to us we will process the returned item and offer you the choice of a replacement (where this is possible for Donated goods, which may be unique) or a refund.
If you request a refund on a faulty or misdescribed item we will also refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you.
This excludes acceptable goods delivered in good condition, where if you change your mind or decide the item is unsuitable, we will not refund you for any delivery charges.
You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase.
Warranty Claims
If goods develop a defect during the warranty period (if a warranty period applies), CRAFT will (at its option) either:
- replace those goods, if CRAFT has available the same or similar goods at the same price;
- repair those goods;
- refund or re-credit you the sum you have paid for the relevant goods within 30 days of the date that the relevant goods are returned in accordance with CRAFT’s Returns policy (above).
You should notify CRAFT in writing or via email as soon as possible, but in any event within 14 days of the date you discovered or ought to have discovered the damage, defect or complaint.
The conditions above do not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with its intended use, failure to follow the manufacturer's or CRAFT’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without CRAFT’s prior written approval.
If the goods supplied to you are damaged in transit, you should notify CRAFT in writing within 7 working days of receipt of the goods and return the goods to us in accordance with our returns policy (see above). Once we have verified the fault, we will issue you with (at your discretion) a replacement or full refund via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that any items returned to us which you claim to be faulty or incomplete are checked and verified by our technicians. Any returned items that are found not to be faulty or incomplete will be returned to you and we shall be entitled to charge you for the return carriage costs via your original payment method. In the event that your card/cheque has expired, or is declined we will hold the item(s) until full payment has been made for the return carriage.
Any items that you return to us are at your own risk, therefore we strongly advise all our customers to take reasonable care when returning any items to us for example, by ensuring the goods are correctly addressed, adequately packaged, and carried by a reputable carrier.
If you wish to contact us about returns or to make a complaint, please email customerservice@craftrecycling.org.uk or write to us at Customer Services, CRAFT, Station Buildings, Alexandra Road, Aberystwyth, SY23 1LH
Security
When submitting your order you are agreeing to the purchase of goods and to allowing CRAFT to use your personal data for the purpose of supplying the goods. For further information on privacy and security please see CRAFT’s Privacy and Security policy.
Losses
We will not be responsible for any loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure) or any other indirect or consequential loss even if the loss was reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using the website or when the contract for the sale of goods was formed. However, CRAFT does not limit in any way our liability by law for death or personal injury caused from our negligence or breach of duty or caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Purchase at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of Purchase in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you).
If any of these conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
Events beyond our reasonable control
We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Governing law and Jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
